This project represents a collaboration with Dr Faye Wendrowicz (Federation University) and Friends of the Earth (funded by the Myer Foundation), identifying the ‘ground zero’ of koalas in the Strzeleckis, Victoria. The presence of preferred koala food trees provides an indicator of the location of koalas and field survey further revealed that both the preferred food tree species and koalas are sparsely distributed through-out.
