Kirsten Wallis - Senior Conservation Analyst
Kirsty maintains broad interests in ecology, wildlife heath and population management. Coming to biolink from a State-based conservation agency, Kirsty has designed and manages our Koala-SAT database and oversees the spatial analysis / GIS side of our work, as well as engaging in field work when the opportunity arises. Kirsty's experience with biolink includes working on the NSW Government's Koala Likelihood Modelling (KLM) project and the creation of a koala habitat model for the South Gippsland area of Victoria. Kirsty's expertise has additionally assisted in development of novel mathematical and spatial analysis techniques to identify koala vehicle-strike black-spots, as well as teaching aspects of GIS and data base management to conservation managers.
