This project represents the third round of koala survey undertaken by Biolink across the Ipswich Local Government Area, following earlier assessments in 2020 and 2023. Monitoring was conducted at 83 permanent sites across Council-managed estates, with this survey round expanded to include an additional 10 privately owned properties under conservation agreements. The program provides consistent, repeat data to track changes in koala activity and distribution over time. Field survey results were integrated with analysis of koala sightings records to identify emerging trends across the Ipswich landscape, with findings considered in the context of relevant State, Commonwealth and international conservation frameworks.
