This project, run in collaboration with Natura Pacific, represented a field assessment of koala populations and habitat use across the City of Gold Coast using SAT survey and strip-transects at permanent monitoring points established by previous Biolink reporting. The outcomes of survey confirmed the widespread persistence of koalas on publicly held lands across the City of Gold Coast and the relative stability of koala occupancy despite recent environmental perturbations including the 2019/20 bushfires.
