On-going monitoring of koala occupancy, activity levels and density across the Lismore Koala Plan of Management (KPoM) planning area. This project, carried out on behalf of Lismore City Council, also included an LGA-wide assessment of historic koala sightings records to address possible changes in the broader geographic extent of koala occupancy. A detailed threats analysis was conducted using both NSW government and Friends of the Koala (FoK) data to reveal trends and levels of koala mortality and injury with a particular focus on the delineation of vehicle-strike blackspots, disease and dog attack.
