The Northern Rivers Regional Koala Activity Assessment involved the survey of 350 SAT sites for koala activity across a range of land tenures – National Park, State Forest, Council, Local Aboriginal Land Council and privately held lands. A consolidated koala habitat map for the region was prepared and spatial analyses identified patterns of koala occupancy and activity across this broad region. This survey program will serve as the basis for on-going intra-generational koala survey across the Northern Rivers Region.
